BATU continues to fight for our members.

Priory Hall – Bracegrade Limited

Following the intervention of the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Micheál Mac Donncha on Sunday 1st October 2017, with an offer to provide his services as mediator BATU members have suspended picketing the Priory Hall Development in Dublin in order to facilitate this initiative.

Arising from the failure of Bracegrade Limited to re-employ members who worked on Phase 1 of the New Priory Hall Redevelopment and their displacement with a sub-contractor, BATU attempted to resolve matters through negotiations with the Company and CIF.

Subsequently a ballot our members voted unanimously “To engage in industrial action with Bracegrade Limited up to and including the placing pickets on company sites”

BATU urge all workers to support our efforts to ensure PAYE status for all with the conditions that goes with this status IE: Holiday Pay, Pensions, Sick Pay, Guaranteed week, Decent Pay etc etc.
