For all you workers out there who do not believe that the Construction Industry Federation and its members care about your wellbeing, please read the following letter issued by the CIF to its members last week.

It mentions the health and safety of employees time and time again, so much so that you would be forgiven if you started to believe that they cared about you.

But, don’t be fooled, read on…

When it comes down to paying you, they have plenty of helpful advice for their members on how not to pay.

Like, why not show your loyalty to your employee’s by giving them Temporary Lay-off, you won’t have to pay them

Why not ask them to use their holidays, (if they have any).

And of course don’t forget the best one, if they can’t get to work, regardless of safety or weather conditions, you don’t have to pay them.

So while the rest of us were trying to figure out ways to help our older neighbours and keep our families safe, it’s nice to know that the CIF were using their time so Constructively.
