Construction Unions meet the Minister of Education
|A delegation of Construction Unions met the Minister of Education and Skills along with officials from her Department on Thursday 20th November 2014.The Trade Unions raised the following matters with the Minister: 1. Bogus Self Employment and abuse of the RCT1e self employed tax forms. 2. The urgency to enact legislation to deal with the post REA situation. 3. The need to take measures to ensure the recruitment of Apprentices in the Construction Industry. 4. Equality for all Construction Workers whether employed directly, by sub-contractors ar by an agency.5. Access for Trade Unions to Construction sites to organise and represent members.
