Road Proposals
BATU members have voted overwhelmingly to accept the proposals contained in the Landsdowne Road Public Service Agreement.
While much remains to be done members voted Yes on the basis that the commencement of the restoration of cutbacks to Pay and Pensions will continue, while the protection of employment contained in the Haddington Road Agreement are extended to 2018. Commitments in relation to outsourcing and the promotion of Direct Labour also influenced our members.
General Secretary Brendan O’Sullivan stated that “BATU representatives will vote in accordance with our members’ decision at the special ICTU Public Services Committee meeting on the 16th September 2015”.
