The six construction unions, BATU, SIPTU, TEEU, OPATSI, UCATT and UNITE lodged a Pay Claim at a meeting with the CIF on Thursday 18th December 2016.

The Unions are claiming the full restoration of the REA rate €18.60 which was cut by 7.5% and an annual increase of 2.5% over the next three years.

In addition the Unions will be seeking the full restoration of other conditions of employment including, legally enforceable rates of Pay, Pension, Sick Pay, Travelling Time, Guaranteed Week etc.
